#1 Saying Eh?

This shouldn’t come as a surprise. The one thing all Canadians share in common is their habit of changing every sentence into a question. This they do by ending every sentence by Eh. Here are a few examples:

The weather is nice eh ?

Thanks a lot for helping me out eh ?

What’s your name eh ?

This sounds silly but its true. Perhaps it is a reflection of the very deep and sub-conscious inquisitive nature of the Canadian people. I don’t quite know what the roots of eh are but it is definitely something that all Canadians enjoy doing.

The Canadian people seem to be losing a sense of identity. “What is Canadian?” is a question that every Canadian has contemplated over at least once during their lives. In most cases, people usually don’t have an answer. Multiculturalism and a large number of foreign born Canadians usually seem to get the blame for this loss of identity. Well, the purpose of this blog is to remind Canadians and to show to the rest of the world what we really are all about. Just like everything else Canadian, this blog too has been ‘inspired’ by the works of an American (author of stuffwhitepeoplelike.wordpress.com).
